Clematis 'Bijou' is an unusual mound-forming clematis, perfect for growing in containers on the patio or as ground cover at the front of a border. You can even grow it in hanging baskets. It bears large, violet-purple flowers with a pink central bar on each petal, from early summer to midsummer. It grows well in a variety of aspects, but avoid north-facing locations.
Clematis 'Bijou' falls into Pruning Group Three. Simply cut stems back to the lowest pair of buds in February or March.
